Friendship gave you wings with which to fly.
You triumphed over the bonds of iron and chain that shackle so many,
like paltry fools, into the dismal plane of acquaintance,
and conquered the wind and sky.
You showed me that friends can matter more
than anything else in the world,
and with these wings you soared above and let the world see
how beautiful a friend can be.
